As of Dec. 20, the Whitbread Fleet had passed King Island at the entrance to Bass Strait (lower left corner) and is heading toward the next waypoint, Wilson's Promontory, a headland situated 60 miles to the east of the fleet, halfway up Bass Strait on the northern side and are expected to arrive there by 2300GMT this evening. They will then continue a further 195 miles northeast to Cape Howe and then head north towards the Sydney finishing line, where they are expected to arrive on Tuesday 23rd December.
