
Greg Prussia
Foredeck
GREG PRUSSIA, 31, is a foredeck hand. A San Francisco native, Prussia has diverse America's Cup experience and is a highly experienced Grand Prix sailor. He was voted Bowman of the Year in 1992 by Yachting magazine. Ashore, he's responsible for the installation and maintenance of masts and is a liaison with the design team and the sailing team for design changes for new masts in the future.
Prussia was a foredeck crew for Team Dennis Conner in the 1992 San Diego campaign and raced on Stars and Stripes with Lexi Gahagan. In the 1987 America's Cup series in Fremantle, Western Australia he sailed as training crew aboard the 12-Meter USA.
Prussia grew up in San Francisco and began match racing out of the St. Francis Yacht Club when he was 15 years old. For 12 years, he worked as project manager for J/Boats West. Today, when he's not sailing, Prussia runs an olive ranch in Northern California. Greg is married to Julie and they recently had their first child, Cooper.
