John E. McCaw, Jr., is a Seattle native and co-founder of McCaw Communications and McCaw Cellular, Inc., and has ownership in three professional sports teams in the United State and Canada.McCaw is the chairman and owner of Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, and the Vancouver Grizzlies, a new National Basketball Association franchise. He also owns General Motors Place, the new sports and entertainment facility in Vancouver, B.C., in which the hockey and basketball teams play.
He also is an owner and member of the Board of Directors of the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball team in Seattle, Washington.
In addition, McCaw has business interests in a variety of industries and serves on the boards of several corporations and charitable institutions.
