Terry Hutchinson

Terry Hutchinson, 30-year-old sailmaker from Annapolis, Maryland, has enjoyed a successful reign in national sailing championships as helmsman, winning an induction into the Old Dominion Univeristy Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. Referred to as "the perennial powerhouse" in Latitude 38’s August 1998 issue, Hutchinson is the 1998 J/24 World Champion. Hutchinson and Kostecki last sailed together in the 1997 Corel 45 Worlds.
Hutchinson received a BA in 1990 from Old Dominion University located in Norfolk, Virginia. In both 1993 and 1996 he was nominated as the Rolex Yachtsman of the Year. His sailing career began before he could walk and is a regularly featured writer in Sailing World magazine.
