Marketing and Support Team

To function as an organization, handle its day-to-day operations, and achieve its goals both on and off the water, AmericaOne requires the support of a number of talented people. However, they often do not receive the recognition they deserve. This edition’s profile is devoted to those who are the voice at the other end of a phone line.

Susan Maffei Plowden

Better known as “Suma,” Sue was in charge of strategic planning and on-site operation of AT&T's Global Olympic Villlage the during the 1996 Summer prior to joining AmericaOne. A lifelong sailor, she was also involved in the last two America's Cup regattas as sponsor and media liaison for the TAG Heuer Challenge in 1995, and as director of sponsor fulfillment and media relations for the America³ Foundation in 1992.

Gina Anderlini
Sr. Public Relations Manager

Gina manages and develops AmericaOne's public and media relations programs, which includes developing the syndicate's image by strategically targeting high-visibility opportunities for both editorial and broadcast media. Prior to joining AmericaOne this year, she worked at Miller/Shandwick Technologies, specializing in high-tech public relations. She began sailing on San Francisco Bay at age six with her father, P. Terry Anderlini, on San Francisco Bay at age six.

Ron Rosenberg

Following the 1995 America's Cup, Ron launched his own marketing/consulting business, focusing on the marine industry. He has been sailing competitively since age 10 and coaching for 15 years, including the role of part-time sailing coach for the U.S. Sailing Team. Ron was one of five core members of the Young America defense team during the 1995 America’s Cup.

Chris Page
Office Manager

Chris has been working for AmericaOne for well over a year, bringing to the organization a background in the hospitality and marketing research industries. She does a “little bit of everything,” in the office, and is the liaison to the Founders’ Club.

Jodi Lee
Systems & Graphics Coordinator

Jodi, who has an accounting background, started with AmericaOne in November, 1996, and dazzled us with her vast graphics and computer systems knowledge. She also issues all crew gear and merchandise order. She has been an active Bay Area sailor, and expects to continue sailing in her free time, if any, since of her daughter Claire on August 8th.

Jen McHugh
Administrative Assistant

Jen is AmericaOne’s newest employee, coming from an event background working for the Leukemia Society, Boston Marathon and the Boston organizing committee for the 2008 Olympics. You typically speak with Jen first when you call AmericaOne, as she answers the phones and works primarily with the Marketing Department.
