THREE OF THE FIVE RACES WERE POSTPONDED

For Immediate Release

November 14, 1999

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND- Race 6 marks the downhill side of Round Robin 2 of the Louis Vuitton Cup, as well as the entire series. Unlike yesterday's excessive wind conditions, today's weather was laden with unusually light air. The three matches on the Atlantic course were postponed shortly after the time limit expired on the first match, AmericaOne vs Le Défi. These races will now be tacked onto the end of Round Robin 2 on November 20, 1999. The two matches on the Pacific course, however, were completed. Prada and Stars & Stripes beat America True and FAST2000, respectively. Winds on the course were in the 3-5 knots range.
