Daily Report, February 27, 1999
In 48 hours in Queenstown we have had an fabulous time. I'm here with Paul Cayard, John Kostecki, Carter Perrin. Our mission was to go sail racing with an enthusiastic group of local juniors and to drum up some local New Zealand support for AmericaOne.
We sailed in Etchells 22s with juniors from the Wakatipu Yacht Club in two short races along the Queenstown waterfront. It was great to go sailing with some of New Zealand's next champions and potentially the team that will try and win the cup back from us in San Francisco!
While in Queenstown we joined AmericaOne's media and sponsor group. We all teamed up to enjoy some of the local excitement that included: airplane rides to Milford Sound, bungi Jumping with AJ Hackett, jet boating with Shotover Jet and luge racing on the mountain. We wrapped the trip up this evening with a great meal at the Millbrook Resort.
What an amazing two months it has been! I encourage all of you to get down here and help us win. Why you are in New Zealand you will no doubt have an exceptionally good time.
All the best,
Morgan Larson
