Comments: This is the first challenge from this club, but it has an experienced group of people behind it, including its designers. German Frers designed Il Moro di Venezia, which sailed in the final match in 1992, and Doug Peterson has been on two winning design teams — the America³ Foundation in 1992 and Team New Zealand in 1995. Money doesn't seem to be a problem, and America's Cup pundits figure it will be very competitive.
